Ruxandra Mitache (Romania, 1979), visual artist who studied at the University of Fine Arts Bucharest, current lives and works in Montreux, Switzerland. 

Working primarily with abstract painting and exploring transitive themes through video and installation.

Her creations were not only appreciated in her adopted country, but also internationally. Her numerous exhibitions and participations in video art festivals attest to this.

In painting, she relies heavily on the suggestive force of colors, her approach being particularly oriented towards the field of lyrical abstraction. 

She is interested in the interaction of light with different mediums, in the relationships that revealed in nature.
